Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tubular light emitting element in which reduction of light emitting voltage is realized by using concurrently a ferroelectric layer and a porous light emitter layer and which is superior in luminous efficiency with low power consumption and is suitable for a large display, and a display device composed of a light emitting element array. SOLUTION: The light emitting element (1) comprises a tubular body (5), a dielectric layer (10), a porous light emitter layer (2), and a plurality of electrodes (6, 7, 8), and the porous light emitter layer (2) is arranged inside the tubular body (5), the dielectric layer (10) is installed in proximity to the tubular body (5), a gas layer is sealed inside the tubular body (5), and the plurality of electrodes (6, 7) are arranged in proximity to the tubular body (5).
