PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To support driving operation according to a skill of a driver. SOLUTION: In this driving assisting device, a monitoring processing part 11 monitors a state of one's own vehicle or a peripheral situation on the basis of a road information collection device 31, a speed sensor 32, an acceleration sensor 33, a camera 34, an inter-vehicle communication device 35, a radar 36, output of a light system 50, and a vehicle control system 60, and further position information or map information outputted by a navigation device 2, a decision processing part 12 decides whether the support of driving is necessary on the basis of a monitoring result, and a support processing part 13 executes the support of the driving. In the driving assisting device 11, information showing the skill of the driver is stored in a driver level storage part 15, and a processing contents setting part 14 changes processing contents of the monitoring processing part 11, the decision processing part 12 and the assistance processing part 13 on the basis of the skill of the driver.
