Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the distance between an object to be imaged and an imaging apparatus by simple image processing using one imaging apparatus. SOLUTION: A distance measuring device 10A comprises: the imaging apparatus 11 in which a position, the angle of an imaging direction, and an imaging range are known; a reference image storage 12 for storing and holding video image from the imaging apparatus 11 as a reference image; a differential image totalizing device 13 for adding new video information from the imaging apparatus 11 and the differential absolute value of the video information of the reference image from the reference image storage 12 for each video information line and outputting the total for each line; a first line computing unit 14 for outputting the maximum line number Y having a value that is equal to or more than a target determination value from the total data of the differential image for lines on one screen; and a distance table memory 15 for calculating the distance data for indicating the distance between the object to be imaged and an imaging position with the maximum line number Y as an address.
