Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a driver certainly recognize lateral deviation from a lane of a vehicle and to prevent a driver from overestimating an assistant device in a lane maintaining assistant device for warning the driver when the vehicle is about to depart from the lane. SOLUTION: Pulse-like torque is generated on a steering wheel 1 of the vehicle at a high steering input frequency by which motion of the vehicle is not affected. Since such a high frequency input is easily sensed by tactile feeling of human being, operation of a system can be recognized by the driver without generating yaw moment on the vehicle.
