SHADOW MASK STRUCTURE AND COLOR PICTURE TUBE USING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shadow mask structure capable of preventing the occurrence of color shading due to doming phenomenon, and yet capable of effectively attenuating the vibration of a shadow mask and improving a yield rate through restraint of the occurrence of tear at right and left ends of an effective part of the shadow mask. SOLUTION: Provided a longitudinal pitch of a bridge part 21 in any open hole row extended in a longitudinal direction is Pr, and a longitudinal pitch of a protruded part 26 is Pd, a relation of: Pr=A×Pd is satisfied, with A as an integer. Further, a number of slot-like pores 18 are formed at the shadow mask 6 so that a value of A gets smaller from the center part toward a peripheral part in a lateral direction of the shadow mask 6.
