Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for detecting a component position capable of positioning parts of different shapes reliably and highly accurately. SOLUTION: A contour edge point of a component 30 is detected, and straight lines 32a and 32b for scanning are set to the contour edge point. The slopes of the straight lines are changed (S3) so that a slope at which edge points where the distance between the straight lines and the contour edge points is minimal are detected at a plurality of positions is obtained (S3-S10). From the straight line of this slope, circumscribed straight lines 34a-34d tangent to the part are obtained, and the center of the component and the slope of the component are calculated (S17). Since positioning can be done if there are at least two or more contour edge points where the distance is minimal, detection of the position of not only a component having linear sides, but also a component having non-linear sides can be made highly accurately.
