Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform appropriate drive control of an excitation means using difference in characteristics according to an attitude of an optical element for dust-proof regarding effectiveness of a dust sweeping operation. SOLUTION: The attitude of the optical device with dust-proof function is detected by an attitude detection circuit 334 and drive control of each of piezoelectric elements 322, 324, 326 is performed according to the directions of dust adhesion surfaces of dust-proof glass 321, 323, 325 based on a detection result of the attitude. When the direction of the dust adhesion surface is upward and it is hard to sweep dust, for example, wasteful power consumption is prevented by performing no exciting operation since no dust sweeping effect is obtained and on the other hand, in the case of the attitude that the direction of the dust adhesion surface is downward and it is easy to sweep the dust, drive control of the piezoelectric elements 322, 324, 326 is appropriately performed by shortening operation time and suppressing the power consumption by using difference in the characteristics according to difference in the directions of the dust adhesion surfaces of the dust-proof glass 321, 323, 325 regarding the effectiveness of the dust sweeping operation.
