Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impact absorbing hollow member having an impact absorbing structure which can absorb an impact in a non-damaged condition and which can be easily reusable. SOLUTION: The impact absorbing hollow member comprises a first member 1 having a first joining end part 10, a second member 2 having a second joining end part 20 which is fitted and combined through a rubber elastic body 3 as a means for positioning in the first joining end part 10, and the rubber elastic body 3 as a retaining member which retains a combined state by fitting the group of the first joining end part 10 and the second joining end part 20. When an external load is placed on at least one of the two members of the first member 1 and the second member 2, the rubber elastic body 3 is so configured to allow relative displacement of the first member 1 and the second member 2 in the direction in which the group of the first joining end part 10 and the second joining end part 20 are fitted more.
