SOLUTION: In the hole wall protection member 1 protecting a hole wall formed by boring a hole in the ground aiming at the object, the hole wall protection member 1 is so constituted that it consists of a plurality of divided cylindrical bodies formed by dividing a cylindrical shape in the vertical direction, at the same time, it is foldable, and side end edges of these divided cylindrical bodies are abutted against each other to form a cylindrical shape when it is inserted into the hole and that it is inserted into the hole.
