Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide printing coated paper which is produced by coating the surface of base paper with a hydrophilic coating containing a pigment without subjecting the surface of the base paper to a permeation-inhibiting treatment, is highly bulky, and has a good quality, and to provide coated base paper therefor. SOLUTION: This printing coated paper produced by coating base paper with a hydrophilic coating comprising a pigment and an adhesive to form the coating layer is characterized by containing, in the base paper, pulp treated by bringing bubbles formed by cavitation into contract with a pulp suspension, and having a coated paper density of ≤1.0 g/cm3.
