METHOD FOR PRODUCING POLYALKYLENE ETHER GLYCOL DIESTERS AND REACTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for the continuous production of polyalkylene ether glycol diesters by the reaction of a cyclic ether with a carboxylic acid anhydride in the presence of a solid acid catalyst and provide an apparatus for the production method. SOLUTION: The method for the production of polyalkylene ether glycol diesters comprises the reaction of a liquid reaction raw material containing a cyclic ether and a carboxylic acid anhydride in the presence of a solid acid catalyst by a suspension fluidized bed reactor. The production method comprises (1) a step to supply the liquid reaction raw material and the solid acid catalyst to a reactor at least furnished with a stirring means, a liquid reaction liquid extraction pipe 2 and a solid acid catalyst discharging pipe 4 and produce a liquid product with the suspension fluidized bed, (2) a step to discharge the liquid reaction product from the reactor through the liquid reaction liquid extraction pipe 2 and (3) a step to circulate a part of the liquid reaction product obtained by the step 2 to the reactor through the solid acid catalyst discharging pipe 4.
