METHOD FOR PRODUCING REFLECTING MIRROR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mass-produce high-quality reflecting mirrors excellent in optical properties at a low cost without causing their uneven deformation in producing them by heat-sintering sinterable moldings obtained by dry-pressing a sinterable glass material. SOLUTION: In the method for producing a reflecting mirror, a sinterable glass material formed by aggregating a silica-based glass raw material powder evenly applied to the surface of a core into granules with the aid of a binder containing at least either of a paraffinic binder and a stearic acid binder. In dry-pressing this, a reflecting-mirror-shaped molding F1is molded in such a shape that the wall thickness of that part of the molding F1extends from the side of its lamp insertion opening 36 to the side of a reflected light emission opening 31 to form a reflecting surface 33 distributes in a gradually increasing or uniform manner.
