PARKING SUPPORT APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid frequent switching of displayed information due to turning operation of a steering wheel to right and left in a parking support apparatus. SOLUTION: This parking support apparatus includes: a camera 10 (an imaging device) for picking up an image of a backward view of a vehicle; a monitor 40 (an image display device) for displaying various information such as image information and navigation information; a reverse SW 60 (a device for detecting a reverse range and reverse movement) for detecting reversing movement of a vehicle as a selection of the reverse range (a reverse stage) of a transmission; a switching circuit 30 (a device for switching input information) for switching input information to the monitor 40 so that the monitor 40 is switched so as to display an image P1 of the backward view of the vehicle taken by the camera 10 when the reverse range selection is detected by the reverse SW 60; a delay circuit 70 (a device for the switching delay) for delaying the switching operation made by the switching circuit 30 for the input information to the monitor 40 until it reaches a predetermined time from the time when it is detected that the selection state of the reverse range is changed to the one except the reverse range by the reverse SW 60.
