PROTECTION STRUCTURE OF WIRE HARNESS BRANCHING SECTION, AND FORMING METHOD THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protection structure of a wire harness branching section capable of ensuring flexibility at a branching section and the degree of freedom in a branching direction even after fitting a protective material to the branching section. SOLUTION: A long, cylindrical tube, which is made of a flexible resin and axially has a slit 14a, is used as the protective material 14. The tube 14 is cut so that it is square in the expanded state for bending while a pair of front and rear triangles projects from a base 14b. The base 14b is brought into contact with the lower-surface side of a main 12. Vertexes 14d, 14e of the front and rear triangles are brought into contact with the front and rear surfaces of a guy for winding around a tape. Both the ends of the base 14b are wound around the main 12, and the protective structure of the branching section is formed while the branching section 11 of the wire harness is surrounded by the protective material 14.
