RECORDER AND RECORDING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technique by which recording mark length is adjusted and recorded at higher precision than in adjustment only by recording pulse width in optical disk recording. SOLUTION: Only lengths of the shortest recording mark and a recording mark following the shortest recording mark are adjusted with high precision and quality of a recoding signal is enhanced by hardly changing the long recording mark length by adjusting the recording pulse width so that each of recording mark lengths becomes the optimal length in recording pulse adjustment, after that, finely adjusting the recording power so that the shortest recording mark length and the recording mark length with length following the shortest recording mark length become more optimal lengths in recording power adjustment.
