Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for hydrating a ophthalmic lens and leaching an excessive material from the ophthalmic lens. SOLUTION: The method includes a step of exposing a contact lens to hydration solution containing about 30 to 70% isopropyl alcohol. The hydration hydration is maintained at an elevated temperature. Exposure to a 1st hydration solution causes the lens to swell to a size larger than its functional size and exposure to a 2nd ophthalmic solution causes the lens to shrink back to the functional size.
