COOLING DEVICE AND ELECTRONIC APPARATUS COMPRISING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling device and an electronic apparatus loading the same, capable of detecting the shortage in liquid quantity, of liquid refrigerant of the cooling device and preventing an overheated state of a heat generating object caused by impairing of cooling performance. SOLUTION: In this cooling device for a computer device wherein a cooling unit 4, a heat radiator 5, a pump 6 and a reservoir tank 7 for storing the liquid refrigerant are mounted in a circulating passage, the pump 6 circulates the liquid refrigerant with a rotational frequency for determining an alarm zone area or less, the cooler 4 draws heat from CPU 2 by using the liquid refrigerant, and the drawn heat is radiated by the heat radiator 5, a judging means is further mounted for judging the continuation of operation when the rotational frequency of the pump 6 is the rotational frequency for determining the alarm zone or less, and judging the shortage of liquid quantity of the liquid refrigerant when the rotational frequency of the pump 6 is over the rotational frequency for determining the alarm zone.
