SHIFT LEVER DEVICE FOR AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift lever device for an automatic transmission capable of setting a shift regulating portion directly under a lever main body. SOLUTION: The shift lever device for the automatic transmission comprises a base element 14, a shift lever element 12 provided with a knob 26 on the lever main body 20 provided on the base element so as to operate shifting, a detent portion 34 provided on the base element 14, a detent rod 30 provided in the lever main body 20 so as to move in an axial direction, a detent spring 68 energizing the detent rod 30 in a press-down direction, a knob button 28 provided on the knob 26 so as to operate pressing movement, a return spring energizing the knob button 28 in an anti-pressing direction, and a cam mechanism 63 pulling up the detent rod 30 by interlocking with the pressing movement of the knob button 28. The detent rod 30 is engaged with the detent portion 34, thereby regulating shift operation of the shift lever element 12. The detent rod 30 is pulled up by the pressing operation of the knob button 28, thereby enabling the shift operation of the shift lever element 12. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
