Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evaluating method and an evaluating apparatus with which a refractory-made structure such as an immersion nozzle, a long nozzle, can simply and accurately be evaluated. SOLUTION: The evaluating apparatus provided with; a melting furnace 1 for melting a metal; an intermediate trough 2 for receiving molten metal 9 discharged from the melting furnace and also, for pouring the received molten metal into a molten metal flowing-out hole 7 of the refractory-made structure 6 such as the immersion nozzle; a supporting tool 4 for supporting the above structure; and a holding vessel 5 for receiving the molten metal making to flow out from the flowing-out side of the molten metal flowing-out hole of the structure, is used; and the molten metal is poured in the molten metal flowing-out hole in the structure and the poured molten metal is made to flow out from the molten metal flowing-out hole and during cooling or after cooling of this structure, a spalling resistance of the structure is evaluated by investigating crack and crevis of the structure.
