WIRE FOR ORTHODONTICS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire for orthodontics capable of applying an appropriate correcting force for a long period of time and applying the correcting force as intended. SOLUTION: This wire for the orthodontics is characterized in having a tensile elasticity limit of 700 MPa or more, and having a characteristic that the gradient of a tangent on a stress-strain curve obtained by a tensile test decreases with the increase in the stress in an elastic deformation range wherein the applied stress is from zero to the tensile elasticity limit and being composed of titanium alloy with the average Young's modulus of 75 GPa or less.
