Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the moving speed of a liquid, which is moved by applying a voltage, in an electro-wetting type electronic paper disk. SOLUTION: An electro-wetting type image display device which performs colored image display by moving colored conductive liquid by using an external electric field to flow in a display-side upper space and also changes the colored image display into white display by a reflecting layer arranged below the upper space by making the conductive liquid flow out of the upper space is provided with an upper power circuit 36 which makes the conductive liquid flow in the upper space and a lower power circuit which makes the conductive liquid flow out of the upper space, and further provided with circuit switching means for the upper power circuit and lower power circuit 38 respectively, and opens and closes the circuit switching means alternately to switching the inflow and outflow of the conductive liquid into and from the upper space under voltage control.
