CUFF-LESS ELECTRONIC BLOOD PRESSURE MONITOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus regarding an electronic blood pressure monitor which is specially made to ultra-small and cuff-less, and can simply and easily measure a blood pressure by mounting on the wrist or finger of an examinee. SOLUTION: The apparatus has a volume pulse wave detection means having a pressure detection means and a photoelectric sensor which are in contact with the surface of a living body and a blood pressure determining means based on a volume vibration method. Pressure application to the wrist radial artery is performed by pressurization by fingers without using a conventional cuff. An optimization of a measuring position is made by applying the sense of the finger capable of delicately sensing the pulse wave of the wrist radial artery. A display means which displays a reference pressurization amount on the display means and simultaneously displays the pressure detected by the pressure detection means so as to follow the reference pressurization amount for performing uniform pressurization is provided.
