Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide moss resistant, seaweed resistant hydroculture material whose base comprises water-absorbing resin bringing no bad effect on growth of planted plants and having moss-proofing and seaweed-proofing effect. SOLUTION: The seaweed-proofing, moss-proofing hydroculture material is produced by mixing at least one kind of chemical substance selected from the group comprising quaternary ammonium salt, pyrithione derivative, hinokitiol, or hinokitiol-containing essential oil with water-absorbing resin whose water content after being soaked in pure water for 24 hours is 3-50 times dry weight.
