Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a membrane electrode junction for a solid polymer fuel cell capable of generating power with high energy efficiency, having high power generation performance regardless of a dew point of supply gas, and also, capable of generating power stably for a long time. SOLUTION: The membrane electrode junction for a solid polymer fuel cell is equipped with an anode and a cathode containing a catalyst layer including a catalyst and an electrolyte membrane arranged between the anode and the cathode. The catalyst included in at least one of the catalyst layers of the anode and the cathode is an alloy of platinum with one or more selected from a group of cerium and manganese carried in a carbon carrier.
