VARIABLE PHASE SHIFTER, AND VARIABLE CAPACITY CAPACITOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable phase shifter which has a simple structure and is inexpensively manufactured, and also to provide a variable capacity capacitor. SOLUTION: A high frequency signal inputted to an input terminal 8 is distributed into two by a 3dB directional coupler 20 and impressed on the variable capacity capacitor 30 including an electrode B(6) and the variable capacity capacitor 30 including an electrode A(5). When the capacities of the variable capacity capacitor including the electrodes A, B are made to be equal, whole reflection signals from the variable capacity capacitor 30 with the impedance changed therein are outputted from an output terminal 9. The rotor 1 of the variable capacity capacitor 30 is rotated, so that the capacity connected to the 3dB directional coupler is changed. The phase state of the high frequency signal in the input terminal 8 and the output terminal 9 is continuously varied thereby. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
