ELECTRONIC MAIL SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inform a communication terminal on a mail sender side that electronic mail sent from the communication terminal on the mail sender side is opened on a communication terminal on a mail recipient side without sending electronic mail itself back from the communication terminal on the mail recipient side. SOLUTION: When mail received from a mobile radio phone terminal 11 is mail with an opening confirmation flag ("Yes" at step S31), a mail managing device 14 sends notice M1 of incoming of the mail with the opening confirmation flag indicating that the mail whose opening is to be reported to the transmission source when the mail is opened is delivered to the the mobile radio phone terminal 13 (step S33). When the mobile radio phone terminal 13 sends notice M2 of acknowledgement back to the mail managing device 14 (step S24), the mail managing device 14 transmits the corresponding mail to the mobile radio phone terminal 13 (step S34) and also transmits notice M3 of opening of the mail to the mobile radio phone terminal 11 in response to the transmission of the mail to the mobile radio phone terminal 3 (step S35).
