Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical device using a lens, resistant to deformation of the device due to heat in soldering when the optical device is attached, and capable of preventing a component mounted on a substrate of the optical device from peeling. SOLUTION: A mold layer 5 is formed by providing and burying a light receiving element 1 having its light emitting surface 1a facing upward, and a light emitting element 2 having its light receiving surface 2a facing upward together with a control element 3 on the upper surface 4a of the substrate 4. A light emitting lens 6 and a light receiving lens 7 with an appropriately same thickness as that of the lens 6 are formed integrally with the mold layer 5 so that the lens 6 is located above the light emitting element 1, and the lens 7 is located above the element 2 respectively so that the lenses 6 and 7 protrude from the mold layer 5. A mold upper layer 9 with an appropriately same thickness as that of the lenses 6 and 7 is formed integrally with the mold layer 5 on the mold layer 5 in which the control element 3 is buried, thereby constituting the optical device 10.
