Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely detect accidental phenomena of unsteady anomalous vibrations, in a shaft vibration monitoring system, even if the vibration amplitude is small at abnormal vibration frequency of an initial period in the occurrence of abnormalities. SOLUTION: The shaft vibration monitoring system comprises a shaft vibration detection means for detecting the shaft vibrations of a rotating machine; a vibration waveform capturing means for capturing vibration waveforms detected by the shaft vibration detection means; a vibration characteristic computation means 5 for computing the vibration characteristic data on the basis of the vibration waveforms captured by the vibration waveform capturing means; a vibration characteristic database for storing the vibration characteristic reference data corresponding to phenomena of shaft vibrations at anomalous times; and a vibration characteristics comparison computation means for comparing and computing the vibration characteristic reference data and the vibration characteristics data. The vibration characteristic computation means 5 determines the time-frequency characteristics of vibration amplitude, by time-frequency analysis and computes the frequency of vibration occurrences at each frequency of the results of time-frequency analysis and set them to be the vibration characteristic data.
