ABNORMALITY DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely discriminate warming failure of an engine in a vehicle mounted with a heat accumulating system. SOLUTION: An engine ECU executes a program including a step (S106) of estimating quantity of cooling water supplied to a cylinder block from a heat accumulating tank, a step (S108) of estimating the oil temperature of the engine on the basis of the estimated quantity of cooling water, a step (S110) of estimating friction of the engine from the estimated oil temperature, a step (S112) of determining driving voltage V(1) of a starter on the basis of the estimated friction, a step (S114) of cranking the engine by the starter, a step (S116) of detecting an engine speed NE, and a step (S124) of determining that the warming failure of the engine is caused when the engine speed NE is smaller than a threshold value NE(0)(NO in S118).
