Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for controlling a press, which apparatus can quickly perform a press work at a correct position even for an arbitrary control pattern, in other words, even when the working speed varies and stops. SOLUTION: A setting speed generator 30 of the apparatus for controlling the press generates a setting speed VLwhich becomes a basis for a working speed in a working range S1of a rotary member 24 and a basis for a non-working speed in a non-working range S10. A locus speed command means 32 receives the set speed VLas an input and outputs a locus speed command V(x*). An adding and subtracting device 37 receives the setting speed VL, the locus speed command V(x*), and a real tangential speed Vωas an input, and outputs a locus speed deviation ΔV. A first integrator 38 receives the locus speed deviation ΔV as an input, and outputs a positional deviation ΔP1. A first position controller 39 receives the first positional deviation ΔP1as an input, and outputs a basic angular velocity ω0*. A first subtracter 41 receives the basic angular velocity ω0*and a real angular velocity ω as an input, and outputs an angular velocity deviation Δω.
