SOLUTION: The food-improving agent comprises cassia gum alone or a mixture of the cassia gum as an essential ingredient with one or more kinds of substances selected from polysaccharide, fibrous materials, soybean-related substance, starches, saccharides, sugar alcohols, sweeteners, milk products, proteins, oils and fats, enzymes, vitamins, emulsifying agents, food raw materials, agents for production, potency-adjusting agents, pH-adjusting agents, spices, antioxidants, enhancers, swelling agents, flavoring agents, coloring agents, preservatives and seasonings.
