CAPACITANCE DETECTION DEVICE AND ELECTRONIC APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capacitance detection device capable of precisely executing distance detection (irregular shape detection) of an object surface even for a flat part of the object surface. SOLUTION: This capacitance detection device is provided with: a plurality of capacitance detectors 10 arranged in a matrix form; a selection means 30 for sequentially selecting two of the capacitance detectors 10 present at positions adjacent to each other on the matrix; and a comparison/determination means 20 for comparing two output signals of the two selected capacitance detectors. One-side capacitance detector 10 out of the two selected capacitance detectors 10 generates an output signal Io (VG) based on capacitance varying in response to a distance between an object and a detection electrode; and the other-side capacitance detector 10 outputs a comparison reference signal Ir (Vr) at a certain level.
