WATER-BASED EDGE COATING LIQUID FOR MIRROR AND MIRROR USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an edge coating liquid for mirror used for coating the edge of mirror whose metallic protective film is exposed, capable of carrying out curing in a short time and facilitating formation of coating of mirror edge part regardless of water-based coating liquid, in production of the mirror in which a silver mirror film, the metal protective film composed of copper, etc., for protecting the silver mirror film and a back coating film are successively laminated onto a glass substrate and to provide the mirror using the coating liquid. SOLUTION: The water-based edge coating liquid comprises an acrylsilicone resin emulsion obtained by dispersing an acrylsilicone resin into water. In the coating liquid, the acrylsilicone resin is especially preferably an acylsilicone resin emulsion obtained by carrying out emulsion polymerization of only silicon-containing acrylic monomer or an acylsilicone resin emulsion obtained by carrying out emulsion polymerization of a silicon-containing acrylic monomer and a monomer not containing silicon.
