PAPER FEED CASSETTE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feed cassette capable of eliminating a setting failure of paper by improving a setting property of the paper to the paper feed cassette, and thereby preventing paper feed and carrying failures caused by the setting failure of the paper, and capable of preventing occurrence of trouble such as a paper jam or a kink of a tip of the paper due to intrusion of the paper between a separation plate and a paper mounting surface. SOLUTION: In a paper feeder having this paper feed cassette 1 used for mounting and storing paper on a mounting surface and insertable into and extractable from a device body, and a paper feed roller for delivering the paper from the paper feed cassette 1, a cutout part is formed in a part of a wall having a certain angle with respect to the paper mounting surface 1a in the paper delivering direction of the paper feed cassette; the cutout part 1d is continuously extended to the paper mounting surface 1a; and the cutout part 1d of the paper mounting surface 1a thrusts into a paper setting position.
