WATER SPRAYING UNIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water spraying unit by which a high-temperature steel sheet is cooled at a high cooling rate, and moreover the in-plane and surface and back faces of the steel sheet are uniformly cooled and the maintenance of which is easy. SOLUTION: The water spraying unit has: a plurality of water nozzles 14 which is arranged between adjacent pairs of upper and lower dewatering rolls 11, 12 and from which water is sprayed onto either or both of the upside and the downside of the steel sheet 13 in a high-temperature state, which is restrained and conveyed with a plurality of sets of the pairs of the upper and lower dewatering rolls 11, 12; and a water chamber 19 which is connected to a water supply source and also the water nozzles 14. The water inlets 37 of the water nozzles 14 and the water outlet 41 of the water supplied from the water supply source are respectively arranged in the water chamber 19, and in the case of an upper unit 15, the water inlets 37 are set at the higher position than the water outlet 41, and in the case of a lower unit 16, the water inlet 37 is set at the lower position than the water outlet 41a.
