Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed battery in which operation of a pressure release valve is sure, and in which leakage from a thin wall part of the pressure release valve does not occur during a manufacturing process or submergence. SOLUTION: In the sealed battery 1, the pressure release valve 5 is installed on a wall face of a metallic exterior container 2 or at a battery header 3 attached to an opening part of the metallic exterior container, and in the pressure release valve 5, a first thin wall part 12, and a second thin wall part 13 of which the wall thickness is thinner than that of the first thin wall part 12 are formed. This is the sealed type battery in which the surface on the side of the battery outer surface of the first thin wall part 12 and the second thin wall part 13 is coated by a fluororesin coating 11.
