SOLUTION: A stack 14 formed by stacking a plurality of unit cells 12 is housed in a casing 24. One side plate 60b and end plates 20a, 20b constituting the casing 24 are connected with a connecting pin 64b. The plate thickness center PC of the side plate 60b is offset to the outside of the casing 24 to the center O of the connecting pin 64b, and the side surface 14a of the stack 14 is positioned between the inner wall surface 78 of the side plate 60b and a virtual surface 82 passing through the outer circumferential surface of the connecting pin 64b and parallel to the inner wall surface 78.
