Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup component for a DVD which reduces a malfunction occurrence frequency of the DVD especially using blue laser light in recording/reproduction and is light and excellent in stiffness. SOLUTION: The optical pickup component for the DVD comprises a magnesium-based alloy whose thermal conductivity is at least 70 W/mK and whose tensile strength is at least 200 MPa.
