COMPUTER SYSTEM FOR ACTUATING TWO OR MORE OPERATING SYSTEMS IN DIFFERENT PARTITIONS ON COMPUTER SYSTEM TO COMMUNICATE DIFFERENT PARTITIONS WITH EACH OTHER VIA COMMON MEMORY, AND ITS METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a computer system for actuating a plurality of operating systems (OS) in different partitions on a computer system to communicate the partitions with each other via a common memory. SOLUTION: The computer system includes a plurality of processing modules and a main memory MM formed in each of the partitions. The partitions are actuated under the control of different OSs (OS#1 to OS#4). At least one common memory window MW is specified in the MM, and the plurality of partitions have a common access right. An exclusive memory window MW is also assigned in each of the partitions. The partitions are communicated with each other via the common MW by using program codes which are executed on the different partitions. A means is also provided for mapping a physical address space of a processor in each of the partitions into the exclusive MW of each of the partitions.
