Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid level detection apparatus and its control method capable of preventing a liquid level detection means arranged in a liquid storage tank from degrading due to liquids at low costs. SOLUTION: The liquid level detection apparatus 1 is provided with both the liquid level detection means 10 arranged in the liquid storage tank 20 for detecting the level of a liquid level 21a of a liquid 21 and a control means 42 for actuating the liquid level detection means 10. The liquid level detection means 10 is provided at least at one part with electrically corrosive members 16, 16a, 17, 18 and 18a. The control means 42 intermittently t1 and t2 actuates the liquid level detection means 10.
