Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate fin type heat exchanger for high temperatures capable of maintaining high efficiency of heat exchange and achieving excellent durability even in situation under violent fluctuation of thermal load. SOLUTION: This plate fin type heat exchanger for high temperature connected with a cylindrical duct for high temperature fluid directly to form a use condition is provided with a core constituted by laminating and arranging a high temperature fluid passage for circulating high temperature fluid and a low temperature fluid passage with which a low temperature header for supplying low temperature fluid is connected with one end side and a low temperature header for discharging low temperature fluid is connected with the other end side and a casing provided with the core in the inside is composed of substantially the same cylindrical cross section as that of the duct for high temperature fluid and is connected as a constituent member for the duct for high temperature fluid.
