Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescent display tube in which life span of SrTiO3:Pr phosphor used in an anode luminous part of the tube is prolonged to practically sufficient degree. SOLUTION: WO3powder is added to and mixed with an SrTiO3:Pr phosphor and the mixture is used for the luminous part of anode of the fluorescent display tube. The amount of WO3powder added is preferably 0.1-30 wt.% expressed in terms of metal element. According to the phosphor of the present invention, residual ratio (65-95) of luminance after lighting for 1,000 hr which is not lower than values of conventional phosphors can be obtained while ensuring initial luminance (70-103) in a ratio of about ≥70% based on conventional initial luminance and practically significant improvement can be added to life span characteristics of SrTiO3:Pr phosphor.
