SOLUTION: The invention relates to the antibacterial agent based on a discovery that a tocopheryl phosphate and/or its salt manifest the specific antibacterial activity to the Propionibacterium acnes. The antibacterial agent containing tocopheryl phosphate and/or its salt manifest an excellent antibacterial activity to acne bacteria which is bacteria causing pimple. The antibacterial agent manifests a synergy effect by using with another kind of antibacterial agent. The antibacterial agent manifests an ameliorating effect on pimple in a practical test on the people with pimples. The antibacterial agent can be used for a cosmetic, a quasi-drug, medicine.
