Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily separate wastewater into an oil phase and a treated water phase by lowering the cloud point of a nonionic surfactant in the wastewater without heating the wastewater; to improve the quality of the obtained treated water. SOLUTION: A nonionic surfactant having a HLB value lower than that of the nonionic surfactant contained in detergent drain in a first mixing tank 1 is added to and mixed with the detergent drain. Subsequently a coagulant is added and mixed in a second mixing tank 3, and the detergent drain is separated into an oil phase mainly comprising pollution components and surfactants, and a clear treated water phase in a settling tank 5.
