Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ornamental article which retains an excellent aesthetic appearance for a long period of time and a watch equipped with the ornamental article. SOLUTION: The ornamental article 1A has a base material 2 in which at least a part in the neighborhood of the surface is mainly made of Ti and/or stainless steel, a first coating layer 3 provided on the base material 2, and a second coating layer 4 provided on the first coating layer 3. The first coating layer 3 is mainly made of TiCN, and the sum of the rate of content of C and the rate of content of N in the first coating layer 3 is 5-30 wt%. The second coating layer 4 is composed of a material containing M (wherein M is at least one kind selected from Ti, Pt, Pd, and Rh) and Ir. The rate of content of Ir in the second coating layer 4 is 0.05-10 wt%. The average thickness of the first coating layer 3 is 1.6-5 μm.
