METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MANAGING FILE SYSTEM BY USING FLASH-ERASABLE PROGRAMMABLE READ-ONLY MEMORY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a computer file storage system for compiling a file based on a hierarchy system directory structural body having a plurality of directory entries. SOLUTION: This computer file storage system is provided with a computer having a directory entry storage memory, a means for assigning a portion of the memory, wherein a directory entry is provided with a primary pointer and a secondary pointer and a brother pointer, and those pointers are set as predetermined values for the first time, a means for setting the brother pointer to point another directory entry in the same level as a directory structural body, and for forming a list in which the brother directory entry is linked, a means for setting the primary pointer to point another directory entry in the next low level of the directory structural object and a means for setting the replaced secondary pointer to point the replaced directory entry.
