Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress rise in intake temperature and prevent knocking when an operating condition of an engine is in a pre-rotation region, in a supercharging device for the engine. SOLUTION: This supercharging device for the engine is provided with an electric supercharger provided on an intake passage; a bypass passage communicating upstream and downstream sides of the electric supercharger on the intake passage with each other; a bypass valve opening/closing the bypass passage; and an intake system controller controlling rotational frequency of the electric supercharger and the bypass valve such that predetermined supercharging pressure can be obtained when the operating condition of the engine is in a supercharging region. The supercharging device for the engine is further provided with an engine control device controlling the rotational frequency of the electric supercharger and the bypass valve, such that lower supercharging pressure is obtained compared to the case where the operating condition of the engine is in the supercharging region, when it is determined that the operating condition is in the pre-rotation region set in a low load side of the supercharging region.
