Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide 2,4'-MDI containing minute amounts of 2,2'-MDI. SOLUTION: The method comprises the following process: An isomeric starting mixture of diisocyanato-diphenylmethanes comprising 2,2'-diisocyanato-diphenylmethane, 2,4'-diisocyanato-diphenylmethane and 4,4-diisocyanato-diphenylmethane is distilled in a separating wall column in at least one step to produce at least one mixture comprising 85-99 mass% of 2,4'-diisocyanato-diphenylmethane, up to 15 mass% of 4,4'-diisocyanato-diphenylmethane and 0.2 mass% or less of 2,2'-diisocyanato-diphenylmethane.
