PASSENGER CONVEYOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passenger conveyor constituted by installing a new frame body in an existing frame body which is capable of preventing troubles in storing the newly installed frame body in the existing frame body, and reducing propagation of the noise outside a lower portion of the frame body. SOLUTION: In the passenger conveyor in which a new frame body 5 is stored and installed in an existing frame body 4, an air layer 16 is formed of a component member 14 mounted on the newly installed frame body 5 with a driving device 11 installed thereon and a component member 15 mounted on the outer side of a bottom portion of the existing frame body 5. By forming the air layer 16, the noise from the driving device 11 is attenuated by the air layer 16, the noise propagated to the outer side of the lower portion of the frame bodies 4, 5 can be reduced, and any component member forming an obstacle in storing the newly installed frame body 5 in the existing frame body 4 is eliminated.
