BENDING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bending apparatus which precisely informs a worker of the degree of danger by enabling the worker to check the knife-to-knife distance between a punch and die and eliminating anxiety of the worker and assuring the safety of the worker by matching a ram speed with the degree of the danger. SOLUTION: The bending apparatus is provided with knife-to-knife distance transmission means 13, 14 for transmitting the degree of the knife-to-knife distance L between the punch P and the die D to the worker S based on the ram position near the machining position. The bending apparatus has a control means which previously sets the degree of the knife-to-knife distance L based on the ram position and controls the knife-to-knife distance transmission means 13, 14 disposed near the machining position and controls the speed of the ram 4 based on the previously set degree of the knife-to-knife distance L at the time of the actual bending.
